BUy a real, brand new gun...use it a few times..price goes down a week later, are you gonna get a refund? f*** no. You've used the product, so deal with it, you entitled, whiny little turd.

Ridiculous topic started and supported by ridiculous people. Y'know, the fact that average IQ is rising with each new generation is good. Problem is, balls, spine, integrity and responsibility for one's actions seem to be the price.

To anyone who uses "entitled":

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Also, you can't compare PHYSICAL GOODS to IN GAME ITEMS.

You also failed to notice HIREZ HAS REFUNDED IN THE PAST.

You also failed to notice HIREZ FAILED TO NOTIFY US WEEKS AHEAD THAT ITEM PRICES WOULD BE CHANGED.

You also failed to notice WE DID NOT WANT NEW WEAPONS.

You also failed to read every complaint and suggestion the forum has had, and the tribal council, and HiRez went ahead and almost did absolutely nothing in those submitted (wrong sentinel nerf course, barely any automatic nerf, more powerful automatics in the right hands (if accurate), and 0 new CTF maps).

HiRez not refunding XP is a swift kick in the balls, after already been gagged and punched and beatend on the ground with this update.

It's a terrible shame people are defending this hypocrisy.

If you think you deserve a refund because a product went down in price after you bought it:

entitled - qualified for by right according to law. e.g. believing that a price drop means HiRez MUST give refunds.

Also, you can't compare PHYSICAL GOODS to IN GAME ITEMS.
Been covered, see Virtual Goods and Steam.

You also failed to notice HIREZ HAS REFUNDED IN THE PAST.
Been covered, see "anything goes in beta." There hasn't been any mass refund post-launch that I am aware of unless it was because of a transaction error.

You also failed to notice HIREZ FAILED TO NOTIFY US WEEKS AHEAD THAT ITEM PRICES WOULD BE CHANGED.
Been covered, human error and makes no difference anyway. If you buy it, you accept the price. If it goes on sale the next day, sorry, that's the way it goes sometimes.

You also failed to notice WE DID NOT WANT NEW WEAPONS.
How is this relevant?

You need a hug.

How is this hypocrisy? Because they previously gave refunds on two or three special occasions but they are not doing so now?

Eh, give them their refunds. The costs are just another aspect of the game that's being balanced and who feels that balance should not be determined by when he or she picked up the game. Does that mean Hi-Rez might be more conservative about reducing weapon costs? Perhaps. But weapons should not become cheaper by virtue of being older. It's all in the balance.

Throw your customers a bone. Knowing that you'll make good when prices drop makes it a little easier for people to spend money.

Solution: don't buy anything from H-R again. Despite the usual "loldealwidit" comments, this seems to unforunately be a recurring thing here. People get/feel burned and then don't pay another penny towards this game.

I don't think it's anything to do with "lolpricesgodowndealwidit" but how quickly this happens and for apparently no obvious reason, that might be one reason why people get annoyed/discouraged to spend anything more in future. Not quite the same as a can of beer because the perception of value is different.

I believe H-R should instead of having individual prices per item just sell XP or have a fixed gold/XP ratio instead.

Alternatively why not do this: when an item is released, put some kind of release date next to it and basically state the price will be fixed for X number of weeks after which point it will be reviewed. Can't get fairer than that. People will know how long an item has been out, when it's due for possible price review and the guys who buy it won't really have much reason to complain if they know in advance the price might change after a certain time.

The people who are feeling burned because the day after they bought something there was a sale are the same people who would feel burned because a weapon they bought because it was OP has been balanced correctly, or a better weapon got released, or a nicer looking weapon got released etc.

They're feeling burned at something that's completely fair and a standard modus operandi across pretty much the whole of retail. If you have to keep catering to them, it's just going to be a massive PITA. Better to let them feel burned and p*** off.

You pay more if a weapon is new, simple as that and the refunds in the past were Beta refunds

I think it was abselutely fair and the only thing that could have been done better is telling us before the change.

We? Who is we? If by we, you mean just you, then, yes, we.

If you meant "We" as in the vast majority of players overall, I think you're sadly mistaken.

Who the hell complains about getting new weapons AND an upgrade system where buying the weapon early and leveling it up costs 3 times less than it used to anyway? Sounds to me like someone is just butthurt.
