Also I think other commands should take priority. Spotting smothers communication. So many times I've heard "I willENEMY DEPLOYABLE NEAR THE ENEMY BASE!" It's not helpful. I just becomes noise and you tune it out.

This bugs me the most too. If you turn off VGS it shouldn't turn off the spotting voices.

Simple solution: Have separate counters/cool-downs for VGS-menu vocalizations versus enemy-spotted commands.

If someone's really annoying, you can mute them anyway. I see the main purpose of the cooldown as a limit on spotting, rather than a limit on talking.

I agree with this. Starting a match I will usually state my role (vsag if raider and such), and then spot and vwe as enemies come and if i see raiders/infils and vdg it will usually hit the flood protection and i'll miss being able to communicate something important.

Also is it just me or is left alt a horrible position for spot? I moved it to Q and just switch weapons with the numbers and it works great.

what should bother everyone is that spotting even is part of the game. Especially since the flashing feet bug is still exploitable allowing you to see everyone at any part of the map.

Not everyone is on a voip you know, If I can't spot the HOF will be completely helpless against incoming cappers.

Post Re: Spotting and flood protection.
Flood protection should only apply per-target (as well as a global flood protection if you spam at nothing.)
This way you could mark several, different incoming targets rapidly from different directions, but could not repeatedly spam on a single target. You could also apply a global cooldown per-target, so that several people are not all marking the same target.

Also, it would be great if we could have teams separated into "Squads" for Defense and Offense. Certain VGS commands could be filtered through the Squad, while other could be filtered to the entire team. This would make the VGS system a lot more concise.
