Fordz Joined: Thu Mar 29, 2012 8:34 am Posts: 4	Weapons, why are they so expensive. First time I logged into tribes, I really enjoyed the game . I soon wanted to have the weapons the other people had because they seemed cool and pretty powerful. I went into the upgrades.... 100k XP FOR A FLIPPEN WEAPON? Thats like 100 games for an average FTP! It would take me flippen ages to even buy a weapon! Im just wondering why is this? Is this really a FTP game? Or a Pay to win game? On average is all it takes. Even less if you pay 10 bucks and get VIP. This is a business, you can't expect them to give out cheap stuff, they need people to buy gold or they go OUT of business. With the new Daily Deals they are even more cheap. Don't get mad at XP cost when the game is free. Or you're a troll. _________________ ... it got a nice ring to it, don't ya think?

It is designed to encourage you to spend some money and buy some gold so that you may unlock them faster. However, it is true that they do cost a lot of gold (and therefore money). Then again, very popular online games sell much less useful items for devastatingly higher prices (for example, World of Warcraft pets and mounts). The biggest problem resides in the difference in prices between weapons of a same slot; you can easily tell by the price whether a weapon is intended to be balanced, or excessively overpowered. It defies all common sense. _________________

So yeah, 100 games, - 30K for a month of winning once each day = 70 games in a month or so. Unless you get dead last EVERY SINGLE GAME. _________________ ... it got a nice ring to it, don't ya think?

Let's not forget the BONUS XP YOU GET from all the gameplay accolades you get. some rounds it's like, BAM extra 2K out of nowhere. Weapons, why are they so expensive.

First time I logged into tribes, I really enjoyed the game

. I soon wanted to have the weapons the other people had because they seemed cool and pretty powerful. I went into the upgrades.... 100k XP FOR A FLIPPEN WEAPON? Thats like 100 games for an average FTP! It would take me flippen ages to even buy a weapon! Im just wondering why is this? Is this really a FTP game? Or a Pay to win game?

These prices are fine.

100 games. On average is all it takes. Even less if you pay 10 bucks and get VIP.

Weapons cost a lot of XP to unlock because this is a free to play game. It is designed to encourage you to spend some money and buy some gold so that you may unlock them faster.
