Joining method (often) ruins team balance
I've seen so many games where there was five people in the Blood Eagle team, four in the Diamond Sword team, and twenty three martyring the "Blood Eagle" button to join the already known top 3 of the last game (or even the better ranked ones).
Maybe one should do something about that.

Something like denying the "score screen" button for any player who's still on the choosing screen. Eventually one should only see in which team his friend(s) are.

Thus XP is only based on :
1.time played in the match
2.team choosed
3.position achieved in the team
Kills/accolades/credits/score mean nothing.
Found on the wikia and checked on many scorescreens.

+1 To this.

To be honest I was playing on a server that was TDM and everyone wanted to join Diamond Sword because Diamond Sword always won.

Diamond Sword has won an inordinate amount of the time since I began tracking this. Every game has this issue though, in TF2/Halo3 Red wins far more than it doesn't. The cause is team stacking based on player bias. The player base of Ascend seems to believe that if they are on DS they will win, so the more experienced players end up there. More specifically because so many people believe this you get groups of friends that fill DS, often times (and in my case as well) they will be on mumble. Teamwork is OP. People don't like auto-assign though because then they don't get to play with their friends.

That's completely untrue. RED wins more on some maps because they are asymmetrical or better to attack than defend on. All it takes to stack a team in this game is a really good HoF and a really good capper, that tips the balance.

Hey, here's subject is nothing about "Diamond Sword or Blood Eagle who wins most".
It's about people waiting to see in which team the previous top 3 or best ranked players will get to spam their team's join button.

There have been fixes suggested since beta over and over again. Everyone is annoyed by it. But currently that seems to be the way Hi-Rez want's to roll...

Funny. I noticed the exact opposite. I win constantly whenever I join BE, because the teams are often better organized.

Actually, I am usually forced to DS because people blindly spam BE and I can't join it even if I wanted too. Everyday I get out spammed for BE by LvL5-10ers. They don't realize that they are stacking up the DS. Basically, most vet players don't care what team they are on and all the newbs rush to stack whatever side they think is going to win. That forces the Vets to select whatever is left. The next round they all rush to select DS and then the vets have to join BE. It isn't about what team you join. Even if the newbs want it to be that way.

So...you want to remove the joining option? Or you just want to make it to where I can't play with my friends?

I know how it can be to be on the losing team, trying as hard as you can and not making a difference. But you can't tell people...hey. Come play this game. But, don't plan on playing with your friends, because that would be unfair to everyone else.

We should also remove VGS commands, because teams communicating ruins team balance.
Okay, so that was slightly troll-ish. But it does make my point pretty spot on, I believe.

Team stacking is something that happens in all games. It just does. It's something you can't fix. Because any fix implemented, would ruin the point of a game...which is to, for the most part, have fun. Bring your friends! Or not? Wait, what?

I bet that when you're on the winning team, this sort of thing doesn't bother you at all, does it?
I've had that feeling too. It's unfair! Oh wait, I'm winning. Fair!

;)
