This isn't entirely correct. The grenades I listed are definitely close to a 0% to 100% spread, but the rest aren't necessarily flat. For example, when the fish patch arrived on December 15, 2011 and we could still peek at values with the console, nitrons used a 20% to 60% spread. This could still be the case, but it's difficult to measure. Speaking of which, my old "Inheritance Compendium" thread that described the inheritance at that time doesn't exist anymore. Hmm.

There's a lot of talk of this or that weapon being overpowered, but what I think is really sad, is that none of the very valid points made in this thread have been addressed. As it comes to physics, the game is an inconsistent mess and a lot of these things would surely be pretty straightforward to fix.

+1 to the OP again.

After roughly 60-ish hours of playtime, I still agree with the original post. While the Heavy walking-speed has been addressed (as well as the artillery ballistics to a small degree), the remaining issues cannot be ignored.

My interest in T:A is slowly but surely dropping. Usually I'll log-in and play just enough to get my FWoTD bonus and then either log-out or mess around on a Free Shrikes server for a few matches while wondering when the next patch will be released.

Proper physics, disc-jumping, jet-pack energy pool/regen and the addition of an inheritance server variable should all be addressed asap.

I encourage every to go to this thread and vote. It was started by a community representative, perhaps may mean more to HR.

Tones of votes and pretty clearly shows the general opinion of the community on autos, BUT will HR listen?

Hi guys, signed up on this forum just to discuss this issue - and lo, there's a 67 page thread about it. I agree with everything the original poster wrote - especially the parts about accidentally walking off a ledge and having no chance to recover. I don't see why that happens, gravity apparently isn't very strong ANYWAY, so how come these guys can't make a jetpack that boosts harder than diet coke shooting out of a mentos-infused 2-liter bottle?

Exactly. Anyone who actually pays close enough attention to the physics will notice it's bad, and anyone who just plays because it's free, won't care either which way.

I say, even if the forums are a minority, they obviously care enough to sign on and post, where by which the rest don't, and hence won't effect your player base.

The forum majority being a player minority is a garbage argument, until you make changes to cater to said vocal majority, and the actually majority then signs up for the forums to combat said changes.

It's like saying a majority of Americans would have preferred a different President, but the vocal majority voted this one in. Guess what? You should have voted. You'll know better next time.
