I'd totally love it if all autos were given 100% inheritence but had the damage on all of them nerfed. All the slower projectile bullet weapons brought up to the faster speed too, as the slow bullet weapons are usually used when Going Slow so inheritence wouldn't be much of a buff.

How much of a damage nerf? I don't know. Just less. Even a ROF decrease. Just anything to make bullet weapons the chasers, finishers and anti-air they should be rather than a combination of high DPS and much better versatility.

You can't, as the private server won't allow you to remove them nor is it viable as with a non-bullet setting 80% of the players spawn without a weapon.

There will be no nerf to autos. I'd hope a minor nerf to splash weapons, since considering all the data in hand, splash weapons are far more OP than autos.

When I groundpound someone with disks/thumper I feel dirty, which is why I play with autos all the time. Autos require a lot more skill than huge splash nooby weapons such as disk.

Good work mate. Since you already figured out that they destroy the game by downgrading the fight to a random bullet party with no intelligence, tactics, or skill (to avoid) the only solution is to remove them completely. If you want a good game. Of course that never will happen because of money. Chasing is ok, if you remove Deployables too. Since Defence is less effective in this case, grabs are easy. So it results in both teams having the flag, lasts as long as someone gets the flag chased. So enough time for that. Chasing shouldnt be done in 10 Seconds. Of course Snipers need to be removed too.

Dear god, is that really what you think?, have you even played the game?

Automatics require considerably less skill even at the highest level, it's just a case of holding down mouse1 and walking the bullets into someone until you win everything. Fast projectiles make it easier to lead and make it effective over huge distances, the RoF makes missing extremely forgiving, and the damage output is huge. There's no effective way to avoid them either in a duel.

It just comes down to one word, Spam. They spam so many projectiles so fast so that you don't need to pick your shots, you don't need to use much ability or any tactics to be good with them.

With explosive weapons I agree that they should have maybe a 10% splash radius nerf but a 10% hitbox buff at the same time, to reward accuracy, and splash wouldn't be so forgiving. As it is though, explosives require more precision, more leading and more accuracy, missing isn't an option in many cases because you need to reload every projectile.


As for the stats/data, they don't show very much, bare in mind that for large periods of beta the Pathfinder, Raider, Soldier and Juggernaut didn't have automatics, so everyone used explosives on those popular classes, and the Brute doesn't have one (yet I can imagine). And without being able to afford new weapons, explosive weapons are the only viable choice on classes like Pathfinder and Juggernaut, which are both very popular first unlocks for new players. And just the fact that this is about the peak of how bad automatics have become with regard to the abundance of people using and dominating with them, at the end of beta / release of game.
