He needs a weapon that is good for flag chasing, and I think the problem isn't that he has some good weapons, its that the soldier doesn't have decent weapons.
The PTH also has the impact nitron though, but if more people agree, I'll include them.

This. The AR was pretty potent when the class was still called Ranger. Now the Soldier has a relatively weak auto and they've also nerfed the Thumper. The Spinfusor, on the other hand, you can't even use since you're forced into a redundant set of weapons (Disc + Thumper).

Post Re: The Collection of OP Weapons
Poor thread. Ratings are very inacurate.
Fractals are fine, they are easily avoidable but are good at area denial. Thats their job.

SMGs are fine, they are dominent, but its less them being overpowered and more other people moaning at them because their tactic of groundshooting only makes the smg have higher dps, if people practiced midairs, a nice midair will turn the tide in a fight vrs smg users.

Lmg is fine. The only op combination is Lmg +quickdraw +pocketdisks, but thats a combination that is efffective, no one weapon there is OP.

Chaingun is fine. Doombringer is so slow, needs a decent damage weapon, Dmb get owned by grenade launchers, mirvs, mortars, grenades etc, needs something to defend itself with.

Shrike is a bit OP as it is, cost is too low on pubs, very effective weapon especially in defence, can be used for OP shrike grabs in offence, can play all positions at once. Need a cost increase and inheritance from jumping out of shrikes should be lowered.

Plasma gun is OP, high on your 'scale', far too easy to hit targets at close to mid range, which is all you need it for since nj4 is fine at med - long. Huge clip size, fast fire rate, lots of room for error while still doing alot of damage. No risk for big rewards.

Jackal is med/high on your scale, huge damage output, massive spike damage with a easy to use weapon on a class that uses stealth, too strong a dueling weapon for inf to have(since they should always get the first and possibly second shot anyway), is out of line with other weapons, seems more like an upgrade than a sidegrade which is what hi-rez was aiming for.

Tech grenades are med op- Ridiculously short fuse means you cant dodge them if you arent already skiing somewhere and it gets thrown + huge damage output. Owns most classes indoors and out. Acts like a high damage nitron effectively with a slightly slower travel speed, except you can easily midair people with them once you get used to the range.

Reach - Needs removing and default flag hitbox increasing by 50%, will not be an issue to anyone who does not play competitively.

Tech thumper - med op, no idea why tech gets the best thumper with huge damage, huge range and huge ammo cap, aswell as a turret that shoots by itself, and some of the strongest grenades in the game. Seems a little ott. Tech thumper is crazy powerful, one shots lights, should not be more powerful than the assault class, theres no logical reasonig why the tech thumper should have more range than a soldiers thumper. Damage makes them stupidly powerful indoors, only a few classes can kill them if played properly, namely Jug.

Snipers - low Op (requires lots of skill, but their impact on the game is uneven compared to skillful players using other classes) due to the maps and game objectives, can change a game by themselves, can shut down multiple cappers and pressure an offence by self. Spawn in perfect sniper spot 5 seconds after being killed. Obviously only good snipers can do this, not really an issue at pub level.

Falcon - Just because the class that can singlehandidly change a game at range now has an incredibly powerful weapon to defend itself up close. Wont save them against raiders or jugs, but most other classes will get rinsed with one.

I agree... the X1 LMG should probably be low rating, and the Jackal and SMGs should be medium rating.

Although still the current rating system is kind of redundant if there's none which are rated High and very few rated Medium.

Wait, why are you still reading? It should be obvious that this signature is pointless and just here to be green.

I'll gladly change the rating system, but the reason none are high is that there are no seriously overpowered weapons atm.
If I could make voting an option, it would be nice, but for now I'll just take peoples wishes into consideration.

I agree, the Plasma should be considered high.

It is by far one of the easiest weapons to use. Large clip, fast fire rate, area of effect damage, large hit box. Its disgusting they thought this was reasonable.

then you may as well add every single weapon to that list cause I'm sure there is someone somewhere who will say that each weapon is OP.

Your list is now pointless.

So basically X1 LMG is more OP than Plasma Gun or Jackal?

Yes.

Not only it gives a Jugg AA capabilities, lack of which is about his only weakness without it, It's also just d*** strong for an auto.

IMO it should be slower. As in reload longer, and share the firing rate and projectile speed with the Chaingun. It's supposed to be a mini-cg, so it might just act like one.

I'm not saying they are OP but it's redicilous that Throwing Knives has a small splash DMG. This should be removed immediately.

.... people who make comments like that are only blatantly advertising that they have never even once tried the weapon out in Target Practice mode

Hint: The splash/near-miss damage is so rare that it it's pretty much completely negligible.

I can guess what class you play by the priority you gave between DMB and Jackal.

Inf-o-disrupt much?
