But the above simply isn't true. It doesn't make some scrub suddenly better at all. If that were the case it would be use all the time in pubs. It's not. Played 6-7 rounds today and not once did I see an inf who was using the jackal dominate an entire game or make a dent in my team nor the opposing team's defense or offense.

It's strength it's EXTREMELY exaggerated. Sure a weapon can be countered, but with that comes a different playstyle too. And guess what if that "playstyle" makes the jackal not so strong that means it's somewhat balanced. And it's not all that difficult to do if you've been familiarized with the game.

There's suddenly a way to combat it instead of saying "Oh this weapon is overpowered because I can't use the same tactic I use for everything else"

Seriously, come on..

I explained how I deal with it which should give other people some ideas on how to deal with it on their own. I get a kick out of people who do the same thing over and over again and expect different results.

Sure, the jackal is versatile. But does it do well in every situation? Absolutely not. It's a jack of all trades that does pretty good with smaller enclosed areas and setting up traps.


Please don't put words into my mouth. I might be a bit arrogant, but it also comes with experience and that i'm a competitive person so take my advice with a grain of salt. Or don't, I don't care.


You're seriously underestimating it's destruction. It's a great weapon in ALL close range encounters, so long as you're stealthed and good with it. I can also tell you right now Apocc is a great player, better than you I'm just about sure (no offense but the 15 blue plates you put in your sig, lol). I'm pretty sure he knows what he's talking about better than you do (see his youtube videos for instance).

Yeah, people think a weapon needs to be owned with by absolutely anyone to be OP.

I only have any trouble with a SEN having the Falcon on one in one hundred SENs that actually use it, but am openly vocal about it having no place on the SEN. It's not about my inability to deal with/against it, it's about logistics, and how much effort I should have to put up against a CQC weapon on the best ranged class in the game.

I don't care what 100 pubs nubs can't do with the Jackal, I care about what I know I'm capable of with it.
