You may have noticed that we don't really have a guide section in this forum. Because of this guides tend to get buried in the General Discussion and both OP's and other people alike forget it even existed. Not to mention other useful information that can't quite be called guides. This goes the same for a lot of threads, actually. Now anyone can tell that it's a pretty annoying issue, after all, what if you miss out on a really good guide or watch one disappear into the mass pile of threads and posts? So I came up with a solution why not come up with a thread that features the guides and information lost under the general discussion pages? As said before this isn't just a guide thread, it's also for useful tweaks and tips; threads that'll greatly help you in someway or form. With that said I only have one request of you all: Post a link to any guide you find on this forum or even more helpful information! It can really be helpful for other lurkers and forum members. Just give me a link and I'll do the rest! A TCN's Guide: Intelligent Turret Placement - http://www.tinyurl.com/TPTCN Description: An informative guide that inspired my Prism Mine guide, it feature less images but over all is an great guide if you wish to learn how to use your turrets to the fullest. As a bonus you'll also learn where you should place Inventory Stations for your team! (Yes you DO need to do that!) It's basically the OP's loadout and how to make the most of it on defense, however all in all you could learn a thing or two from it, most definitely. It's an open guide which is rather informative, much more then you'd think for a topic such as this. If you're going to be a HoF, read this guide. Dueling Theory 101 : a beginner's guide to dueling in T:A - http://www.tinyurl.com/DuTe-101 Description: Dueling Theory 101, a beginner's guide to dueling in Tribes: Ascend. Not really much to describe here when the title says it all itself. Even if you're a veteran this guide can possibly help you survive longer and even possibly come out on top in your duels with other T:A players. Flag Routes: TerminalInsanity's Heavy Cap Routes! - http://tinyurl.com/HVYRTS Description: A little informational post (Can't quite call it a guide.) about Heavy Cap Routes. It's worth the read in my opinion and is being updated constantly as this is being written. Team Egocentric's SmallKiwi's Cap Routes - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4CD6381DBA8A1ACC Description: Not much of a guide as it is a group of videos showing examples of a lot of cap routes. Off Website Things: Tribes: Ascend Wiki - http://www.tribesascendwiki.com Description: Only the best source of information I've come across. Not like it's a big deal or anything! It's a great wiki that I used and still do use for various purposes and it's really recommended you check it out a bit. Team Egocentric - http://www.teamegocentric.com/ Description: A site which focuses on information and guides for the masses for no cost whatsoever. If you're visiting this thread in hopes to find good guides. You can't miss this site. Tribal Warfare - http://www.tribalwarfare.net Description: Another site that focuses on helping the community with guides for no cost whatsoever. Just like the site above, if you're looking for guides, you shouldn't skip this one. Spinfusor Competition Basics - http://www.spinfusor.org/2012/05/06/sta ... 01-part-i/ Description: A guide which has more competitive tastes to it and comp knowledge. If you're getting into comp or things similar to that, you should look into this off-site guide, as it wont be a waste of your time. Miscellaneous: [INFO] Weapon Damages - http://tinyurl.com/DMGStats Description: An update informative thread which states all the damage weapons deal in the game, as the title implies. If you're looking to understand the game better, this would be a good step towards doing so. It even has videos. I tip my hat to you, FelixTG. Tribes: Ascend Offline Installer Download Links - http://tinyurl.com/OInstaller Description: FlackJacket being the handsome and amazing guy he is did a request for someone in regards to an offline installer rather then the current online installer T:A has. If you wanna install tribes while offline the internet or you're having issues with the online one, try this before making any complaints! Smoothest performance cfg possible-at cost of visual quality - http://tinyurl.com/LGConfig Description: This is a download of a config that will allow players to get a huge gain in fps at the cost of graphics. This is not promised to work for everyone but it has worked for a lot of players. If you need more fps or can't quite play T:A on your computer even with minimal settings, you should try this before giving up. Tribes.ini : EXPLAINED IN DEPTH - http://tinyurl.com/Tribes-ini Description: If you're having trouble editing your own Tribes.ini to fit your computer and playstyle, this is something you'll need. As it says it provides an easy explanation to every setting in the ini. Easy Way To Get Custom Crosshairs - http://tinyurl.com/EZCXHairs Description: It's essentially as it says. This thread provides and easy way to use your own crosshairs if you currently hate being so restricted to what you would see as "bad crosshairs". Welcome.

You may have noticed that we don't really have a guide section in this forum. Because of this guides tend to get buried in the General Discussion and both OP's and other people alike forget it even existed. Not to mention other useful information that can't quite be called guides.
This goes the same for a lot of threads, actually.
