The eagle pistol is not inferior because it simple does less damage or anything, it is inferior because it does not have the range, the whole point the ranger loadout is that giving up the spinfusor damage and lack of need to account for arc, and that gives you an accurate long range automatic. If you roll with the soldier you are essentially a short range player only. You can see this as most soldier prefer the "soldier loadout" in arena where the shorter range makes it superior to the ranger loadout.

I do not think we should change it but buffing the eagle pistol will not change peoples mind unless that buff comes in the form of a smaller spread which makes it an accurate scan shot weapon.

Agreed. Larger hit box for sure. The spinfuser shouldn't be splash damage only that's incredibly boring. I hate having to wait all day for someone to drop just to get a real shot in.. Most the time I'm wasting half my ammo shooting at people in the air seeing it cut them in half or get so close you wonder what the heck else it was except your disc hitting them.

I do get 4-5 MAs a match and I don't see how people are satisfied with that. Spinfuser is an accurate exploding projectile.. going for splash damage only is such a disappointment to the gun in general. Shouldn't be anywhere near plasma size but seeing all the airmails off plasma (that's not only MAs but award just for the killing MA....) I'm pretty disappointed that they haven't addressed the miniscule hit box of the spinfuser.

I played Soldier and Raider tonight.

Raider in midfield D on CTF
Soldier in C&H

I gotta tell you, the soldier is a potent fighter with that disk. Yes it takes a bit longer to get the damage on the guy, but its a lot of damage.
And the eagle is no slouch in damage or clip at ranges where the disk is used.
The disk is also still great at busting turrets with sniping too. Better than plasma.

I really like the disk the way it is. It would be too easy to MA if the hitbox was bigger.

Define "way too easy", because nobody has yet to really argue what is so unspeakably terrible about midairs being able to be hit on a reliable, consistent basis, such that you don't do what everyone else does and simply spam them on the ground.

perhaps hi-rez should make it so that midairs can only happen on headshots. that would make it harder and therefore up the skill ceiling right?

Don't make Spinfusors easier, make other weapons harder.

Don't lower the skill cap.

Personally, I think there's already way too much damage and powerful weapons in this game.

Already proven that the spinfusor MAs are harder than in previous Tribes, where the hitbox was quite generous.

Seriously, your first response to any challenge is 'Oh yeah, *YOU* prove it first!'. I've already stated the case for easier spinfusor MAs. If nobody has kicked your ass in real life for being a douchebag, they should.
