 Automatic weapon balance?

A) I like them as they are--leave them alone. 13%  13%  [ 96 ]
B) They're not bad--they need minor adjustment. 28%  28%  [ 201 ]
C) They're really messed up--they need major adjustment. 45%  45%  [ 328 ]
D) I hate the very idea of them--remove them completely. 12%  12%  [ 92 ]

Voted C. The high ammo count(w/o upgrades), RoF, reload speed, lack of recoil/significant spread &or fall-off for automatics makes them just too d*** efficient when coupled with their damage per shot.

Aside for that, there's nothing rewarding about using one when you ratatat someone to death with little challenge. Rather use a Spinfusor when I can(or something like it).

Spinfusors themselves could use some adjustment, too. Maybe we could get that 100% inheritance across the board(bar snipers)...and mayhaps I'll evolve into a speedling and eat everyone. Ah, a man can dream.

I am sorry, but you are comparing a SINGLE bullet against a rocket ??????

1. A rocket is already VERY HARD to shoot at pathfinders as the lock time is long and the locking mechanism is crap to say at best.
2. The rocket is slow moving, easy to evade.

I voted D. I'd like to see less weapons overall... (yes I realise that affects $$$ from Weapons Sales) but having 50+ weapons is just weird...

The SMG's basically aren't SMG's. They're miniguns with small clips.

The damage fall-off and accuracy should both take large hits on pretty much everything other than the Chaingun and both AR's.

The fact the LAR is the weakest automatic in the game and I can still kill a path in about 1.5 seconds with it is just f*** stupid.

LAR isnt the weakest, soldiers AR is the weakest, then the falcon

What are you smoking? The falcon molests everything within 10 yards of a sentinel.

I can go into TDM and roll top of the scoreboard with nothing but the falcon, and I've seen plenty of other people do it as well.
