I played tribes 1 and 2, but I don't really remember them too much. We use to play at lans back when I was a teenager. I also played Quake 3 Pro - when to tournaments.

From what I can see right now : and this is is just an example.

Spinfuser = Rocket Launcher
BXT1 = Railgun

The problem I am having is as follows

I can knock off 400 - 500 with a Spinfuser and keep bouncing them around until they are dead, unless they are skiing fast, then I might only get a one Spinfuser hit.

When I use the BXT1 I have to hold the mouse for 2-3 secs and try to hit a target that's farther than hell away skiing like a kid on crack. I can hit them once and a while, and I know this game is not Quake 3 but seriously fix this.

Up dmg to 700 and maybe make the hitbox a little bigger for sniper rifles.

GO FIND A f*** SNIPING SPOT AND GET OUT OF THE MIDFIELD... YOU WONT HAVE AS MUCH OF A PROBLEM

The sniper rifle is already overpowered, a single capable sniper will shut down an entire teams offense.

Great attitude towards a new player who's not even being all that uppity. At least you succeed in making yourself look like a jerk in addition to being a proven scrub.

@OP, snipers serve a very different function in Tribes than Railgun does in Q3. Sentinels are fine (definitely not underpowered, at least.. them being overpowered is another argument though).

The sniper rifle has infinite range and no travel time. When you miss, it's entirely your fault because no hitscan attack can be dodged, and given how cover is so scarce in this game, killing a player as the Sentinel is simply a question of whether or not you're accurate enough to get them before they leave your field of view. Never mind the fact that it's impossible to retaliate against a Sentinel because he can see your slow projectile weapons coming for miles and only needs to step a few feet to the side to safely dodge them.

I am not exaggerating when I say that no class in this game is more effective at killing another player's enjoyment of it than the Sentinel. Buffs to it are unthinkable in its current state. You can be forgiven for not fully realizing the class's potential, but I assure you that you'll find no sympathy from the experienced players here.

you didn't offend me man, but its common sense. If you played Q3 then you know not to run around midfield with the railgun when its best used as a sniping weapon.

If this weapon has a charge up time, you're best when standing still......far away, where snipers usually are.

That's not really true, in fact, that is just total BS. Of course hitscan can be dodged! It is obviously harder, but saying it is impossible to dodge is just stupid. Unless you're using an aimbot, in which case, no it can not be dodged.
