They made Raindance a capture and hold, then put the "hold" maker inside the gen room base.

*facepalm*

I wish I was given a dollar each time the map designers did something that was so painfully obviously NOT a good idea. I'd be able to buy a new booster pack XD

Did they at least balance it out with out door secondary capturable points with multiple entrances or anything?

A secondary entrance really needs to be added. There are multiple entrances with the other maps, so why not Raindance?

Capture point inside base generator room can be held to easily with very little defense due to how the base is setup. The hold marker should be placed outside or a secondary entrence should be added for this game mode ONLY not the CTF version.

Edit: Wrong thread, reposted in proper thread.

 I just merged these threads together.

Regarding point placement, I have been toying with the idea of putting the points either on top of the bases or where the flag stands are in the CTF variation.

Is there a preference you guys would like to see one over the other?

Having both kind of control points is fine. Not all point has to be easily contested, and switch teams 15 times per minute.

This. Variety is good, not all of them have to be easy-in-the-open capture points. Same goes for CTF flag placement, but is even more apparent here. Variety is good.

Yeah, i like having the points in the main bases. Worst case if one team hardcaps the two main bases you can hold the other 3 and win. I suspect most C&H with no FF is going to be a bit of a spam fest, but there is no reason people can't just chose what they like in that regard now that there are custom servers.

I like the highly-defensible HQs. It feels like something worth actually trying to capture and hold. It also gives a reason to play a better variety of classes.
