Played this map for the first time yesterday (not much of an Arena fan as I despise Air & Lava Arena maps) but this one is a lot of fun!

Please make more maps like this, it actually makes Arena a pleasant change of pace instead of the gaming equivalent of driving nails into your dick.

Hi Kate.

Remember me? I chewed you out for a map you didn't make :P for that I humbally apologise.

That aside I have feedback for a map you DID make.

The map Tittle "walled in". Just an idea, would be cool if instead of a boundry wall, there was an extreamly high physical WALL. Not so high that a sentinel could shoot fish in a berral and be untuchable, but high enough to make someone feel closed off. Have the wall narrow so that if you DID decide to go up there, and you catch a disk to the face, the knock back drops you in to the botmless pitt on the other side. So there is a risk for being up there, but if you prefer NOT to fall off in to an abyss, you just stay off the wall.

In short, bigger walls around the outside.

Thanks for a map that doesn't penalize skiing and encourage spamming chain guns across the level.

(Joke) ;)

PS - Every CTF, CAH and TDM map doesn't penalize skiing.

Almost every game I've played, I've seen every inch of the map used.

+1

This is the only arena map that gets used from top to bottom. It's also the only arena map that allows you to ski. Nice work Kate.

Definitely the best Arena map out there. Really sets it apart from the other modes by using a variety of terrain and incorporates a significant amount of vertical space.

A small thing that I've experienced with this map though, is that the action is a bit too focused around the bottom and edges (around the wall). I think this is because:1. The inventory stations across the corners are by far the easiest to recover in, being generously covered by walls. The inventory station in the center however, will easily get you killed. And 2. It takes too much energy for most classes to jetpack to the top. The problem is there is not really any 'mid height' on the map. You're either on the floor or on the top. Sure there is that ledge around the base entrances, but its too thin and next to a flat wall for splash damage heaven.

I suggest to make those outer stations more dangerous to use, or even remove them. Also, consider either extending the ledges around the base, or making platforms wider around that height.

Opening up hallways like in this picture would make this map way better in more ways than one.
Say NO! to camping Juggernauts.
