Barring any unexpected difficulties, we will be applying an upgrade to the Tribes Ascend Open Beta on Thursday, March 29. Please see below for patch notes.

Expect server downtime while the patch is deployed.

Time for inactive reload reduced from 6s to 5s.


Yesssss now just drop it to 4s, since that's about how long it takes to switch off the thumper, then back to the thumper.

thats it? jackal shouldnt be able to airdet at all. way too cheap, little cod kiddies dont even need to hit people now, just get close and det on demand.

Dude, please SHUT UP about the Jackal. It's a new weapon, the nerf-patch isn't even out yet and already you're whining about the Air burst functionality.

Bart confirmed in the interview last night that the Jackal's Air Burst is part of the weapons benefits. It's supposed to do them, embrace the change. ADAPT OR DIE. It's already being nerfed to do a MAX of 250 damage in the Air(per projectile) which means the splash(most hits) are going to be significantly less(like 100-150 if that) which is kind of pathetic. As for its impulse, it's also being nerfed by 50%. So please STHU, you whiners have already caused this weapon enough harm.
