Brute is by far the lowest played class in the game and his spinfusor is almost universally regarded as the worst one in the game.

Jetpacks need to behave more like jetpacks, at all speeds.

Dude the brute is one of the most talked about classes that needs a buff. I'm more surprised someone didn't come in here suggesting the search function.

But these change, plus a shield pack worth using would be nice.

Ohohoho I dunno what game you're playing but the HBL needs no buffs at all.

Though something I've wondered, if lights had just 50 more health only heavy class weapons would one shot them. Makes me think pathers could do with their own utility pack.

If you guys want a laugh go into practice mode and compare pathfinder bolt launcher with jug/brute spinfusors. Seriously, go try it. Light weapon there almost matches/outdoes heavy disk if you take rate of fire into account.

Almost all of us agree that a lot of the weapons needs to be rebalanced. I'd much rather see a buff to the heavy spinfusor damage than faster rate of fire. I want the heavy spinfusor to be a slow firing weapon of destruction and fear. I honestly think that the heavy spinfusor should one shot mediums with direct hits, because when they see that spinfusor coming they should tremble with fear, as it is supposed to be with heavies, and the brute is the combat oriented heavy.
Then set all spinfusors to have the same projectile speed. I pretty much switch between seven of the classes and I really dislike that my accuracy is reset to zero every time I switch to a class, since all that knowledge spent calculating your point of impact in relation to the target is suddenly of by several percent, and on a distance those few percent is the difference between a blueplate, hitting the ground behind the capper launching him away with extra speed or missing altogether.

The reason the ROF on the HSF is so low is because it is an OSK style weapon meant to be used indoors, and to disc snipe raised turrets & equipment on ArxN.

While some players are having success using him as HOF, it seems like a mismatch since the Doomie is supposed to be there.
Looking at the roles for the three heavies, you have

Doomie - HOF or Gen D
Juggie - Offence f-stand disrupt
Brute - HO, gen sab, indoor enemy disrupt, & turtle breaker (aka fractal delivery system).

Previously the Brute would devour SMG Techs and could easily skate past collateral fire for a free gen win. Now, Techs have thumper & emp mines, Gen Doomies have invis mines, and fractals are rightfully doing only damage to players and deployables. You just don't see light classes inside the enemy base anymore.

I think he could safely get a buff to survivability (shield pack effectiveness) and the rate of fire on the HSF could be improved. This does not increase OSK effectiveness which is risky, but extends what he can deal with while he is brutalizing.

OTOH Brute will probably get a 4 shot Heavy Arx Buster Primary for 100k that would also basically solve everything.

I'd expect a heavy grenade launcher probably. Just because the ARX and spinfusor have similar ranges and the GL playstyle suits the brute better imo.

Still, gonna need a buff to the shield pack, HSF, auto shotty and light stickies above any new weapons probably. I think all heavies need medium-level regen too, which the brute would benefit most from.

Yeah, some good posts here. I would really love a Brute buff, because even though its said to be one of the worst classes and least played, its actually my main. Someone also mentioned that it should be able to 1-shot a medium class... I'd have to say, I can almost agree with that, I mean, its a HEAVY, COMBAT CLASS with a HEAVY SPINFUSOR and it can barely 1-shot a light class (that is, IF you get a direct hit with that year-long reload time).
