Post Heavy Spinfusor Buff + Jet Pack Adjustment?
Hello, everyone! This is my first post on the forum. I just wanted to suggest a possible adjustment for the Brute class Heavy Spinfusor -- It does nice damage, with good ammo, but the actual firing interval is very difficult to work with. A light, or even a medium size class could touch the ground and shoot you twice before you can even shoot another Heavy Spinfusor shot. I'd simply suggest some sort of 15-25%+ reload/firing interval adjustment, to sort of help out a heavy class in need, not to mention how chased and difficult it is to use in the arena game mode (among most heavy classes). I understand that its the Spinfusor that does the most damage, but the fire rate trade-off is really hard to work with, and I'd expect some more power coming from a heavy class.

I'd also suggest that when using your jet pack while in the air after being knocked off a platform, you have more force pushing you upwards. Currently, in arena, a heavy class (and even sometimes light and medium classes) can't even jet pack back to a platform even if they're right next to it at chest height.

*EDIT* I'd also like to point out that according to this thread viewtopic.php?f=313&t=45710 the Heavy Spinfusor has the second lowest DPS. I would expect that even with a fire rate/damage trade-off it would be ahead in first place.

I think they should just make the heavy spinfusor hit a lot harder. Like, 1100 damage harder.

I also agree that jets need to be stronger. It would help if they didn't have that weird cap, too.

2080 damage! I'd buy that for a dollar.

;)

Thats sort of the other side of the coin, yeah. Instead of even adjusting the speed at all, perhaps it just needs a damage buff (980 damage to 1050, maybe). I understand that they tried to make the weapon balanced with faster projectile speed and more ammo, but when its on a heavy class, it may not be enough (not to mention I think a max of 30 ammo might be overkill).

The heavy spinfusor has a slower moving projectile, afaik.

If thats truly the case then all the more reason for a buff!

Yeah, the current hspin is bad.

They should normalize disc speeds for every spinfusor. There's no reason to have them be slightly different. Then make the hspin deal 1100 damage.

Everything about it feels right for a "heavy" spinfusor, except the damage numbers. If soldier disc can OHK two of the light classes, then the HSF should do damage in the 1100-1200 range without a bonus against armor. That is enough to near-kill a medium, three-shot a heavy.

As an aside, the HBL should also get a huge damage buff, enough to OHK a medium. Pathfinder BL can OHK other lights, so I don't see why the heavy version should be so gimped.

stealth spinfusor = appropriate damage

light spinfusor = appropriate damage

spinfusor = appropriate damage

spinfusor mkd = appropriate damage

Heavy Spinfusor = low damage for a "heavy" weapon.

Perhaps making it do 1180 damage on a direct hit, 800 splash? It wont 1-shot a medium, or splash-kill a light armor with that damage scale, but do the "appropriate" damage for a heavy primary weapon.

I'd say this sounds about right, or instead, 1150 damage 780 splash, with maybe 10% faster fire rate and/or projectile speed.

I'm surprised other people actually are with me on this Heavy Spinfusor buff notion -- I was honestly expecting to be shot down by people who say things like "it does the most damage so it actually needs a nerf". (Which isn't even true seeing as it has the second lowest dps for Spinfusors).
