Post Re: $900 6v6 Draft Tourney
Oh here's a great example of why I am how I am.
I try and be professional, always. Though I am currently being less so than ever... Because apparently it gets me nowhere. (Even though my un-pro is still > most. Sad) but, below is an excerpt from my new Sealed Systems thread...

Really now, let's not get into this.
You clearly don't know me either, or you wouldn't be sticking your head out like this.

The major point is that the opportunity cost of all the rest of the offhands isn't worth grabbing the potential to duel a class up close when you could just fight them from farther away, or cause them to have to chase or duck away due to your position and output of damage. Anything other than another medic is rather hard pressed to beat a poison medic that's blowing all their offhands in a close range standoff.

Remember, this is a team game...
Cleanses come from your team already, most especially in co-ordinated matches.

And if I take sealed system, then suddenly the poison medic never even tries to poison me... or I don't get de-buffed with fire... or there isn't even a poison medic around anymore...
Then I am carrying dead weight as an offhand. It is literally useless at that point. This doesn't happen with any other offhand.
Sealed Systems is unique in this penalty, and it kills the viability of SS as an offhand.

boringest response ever. kbye

See. Ridiculous. And I don't troll people. I respond politely. You can read my history of posts. They are awesome write-ups of great ideas and well crafted responses.
And yet the people that troll and are retards get the most "political" clout because everyone thinks it's funny I guess, and so they get listened to more because they are popular or notable.
So basically, I plan on turning into a whiner instead of a guy with great ideas that he presents nicely. I will probably get more positive attention that way.

Let the trolling begin...

A lot of the medics whose comfort zone lies with nanites were.... discouraged from using them.
That's probably the nicest way I can put it.

And nothing against Cyrre's team or Ace, but that was the first time he had really used nanites competitively, from what I heard.

Experimentation and adapting tactics = our team's progress thru the tourney. We always tweaked between matches, but one of the biggest decisions was having Ace (one of the best bfb medics in the game) run nanites after our first fight against team tastypotato. Old school players usually have a tendency to poop on nanites as one certain caster did, a lot, but the improvement after switching one medic was noticed immediately. Which UnfoldedSoup probably suggested since it worked.

(Btw we're not talking those dumb medics in mercs who go nanite poison and get 30k, we're talking medics with brain cells here:)
Ace often QUADRUPLED TheFacture's (another of the game's best bfb medic) heals which is sic. Being able to apply them from a great distance was a huge advantage (a couple teams even just allowed him to free-snipe all match), the buff made our assaults ridic, and that HoT made moving and surviving even if we temporarily lost one player much more possible. If at this point you can't acknowledge HiRez DID fix nanites after 1.3 to have a viable niche, yoo iz ignant.

Ace = #1 nanite medic in GA.

Only because I didn't need to heal most of the time. :P

All flair associated with the event should now be distributed directly into participants' inventory (not mail). Please contact me through a forum PM if you feel I missed anything, and I will let you know why you are wrong. :ugeek:

Thanks to all organizers and participants! This was a great start to what will hopefully bloom into a new age of competitive play for Global Agenda! I look forward to supporting you to the best of my ability in future events!
