What's the next step? Selling full level 50 toons in the cash shop?

Say, that's not a bad idea! You should join Hi-Rez's marketing division.

While I agree that giving out fully free 2k/day tokens for doing NOTHING is a slippery slope. This definitely makes me want to purchase a booster. I just hope that they don't continue to expand the line between those with boosters and those without.

Since the patch, I can't seem to sell my previously equipped Rainbow Dye to the NPC vendors. Is it just me or did they change it so I can't sell it back? :?:

I was under the impression only unbound rainbow dyes could be vendored. Might be wrong though.

You used to could sell bound rainbow dyes as long as you weren't wearing them at the time.

you cant vendor stuff if it's equipped on any profile, even if it's not currently equipped. remove it from all profiles and it will be vendorable.

Post Re: Patch Notes: October 1, 2010
My 2c about the 2k tokens a day with boosts:

I chop/change games all the time. I make an attempt to squeeze as much fun out of a game in a short period, then usually take a break to another game.

For example, I got a copy of MW2 not for the PvP or because I thought it was good, but so me and a mate could play the CoOp missions when hes around, while we waited for the next game, which ended up being GA, actually, as our group likes team based games (we are trying to get proficient enough in GA to start 4v4 matches)

I dont see the 2k as bad, but I do see how older players might be annoyed at the idea. To me, as I have said before, getting a boost, was like a "thank you HiRez" thing, not a "awesome, faster level 50", I would of grinded the levels regardless.

My only gripe is the need to balance this in another direction. I take it the star rating has a basis in trueskill values, so, in my view, players that have high trueskill values are likely to be old players (as in, from the start of GA), and ones that do a lot of "work" in GA, and it would be nice if they could get offsets in the way of more perks.

If boosts owners get to get more gear with gift account tokens, high TrueSkill players should get better drops/rewards, better discounts etc, that way casual players can offset some grind with boosts, and help HiRez, and the good players can keep playing and test GA, and offset some grind via playtime/skill.

I would have no problem knowing that high star players (if the system is working that is) had double chance of Rainbows or whatever, cause that would also become an incentive to try and raise mine.

If not my idea, surely _some_ ideas of rewarding good play with more then flair has occured to people?

Again, the issue is not the size of the reward itself (HiRez could've tripled current Booster bonuses, for all I care), but a fundamental shift in when players are rewarded. Previously, you had to complete a mission (even if you lose it) to get your rewards - this means that you did have to invest your time to get rewarded, standing still got you nothing, so to say.

I see that I'm in a minority, though. No problem, I'll definitely live with this change, even if I don't like it personally, or I think that it's a major mistake - or, perhaps, an evil portent of the things to come :-(.

Yup the weird thing is that I unequipped it on all my profiles and I actually see it in my dyes in the inventory. When I try to click sell, it won't work and the dye is still there. :/
