I like the decreased falloff. Would recommend making Phase clip 2 shots and SAP 1 shot, just to give a reason to still use phase (Not that anyone does atm, but it would be better than keeping it dead content).

Contributed.

I think the scope requirement and charge mechanic have a lot to do with entry level players having difficulty with sniping, and though this doesn't effect me, or games I think are important, I think it does have a negative effect on new player retention.

The only other sub note, would be I do like the idea of energy in both energy rifles correlating directly to damage, IE: Who's going to use the PR if it does less damage for the same amount of energy?

I feel like this should be implied, but that's kind of how the poll/blog was worded, since he lumped them by class of rifle.

Without having looked at the poll or the results, I'll just say that you can't make huge balance changes by having a poll on these forums.

If HiRez balanced this game around what people voted for, we'd all be running around with autos doing 10 damage.

I hope you take this into consideration, HiRez.

Once again low rez has failed to consider counter play. LETS FIX THE SNIPEERRRR HURR DURRR but lets not consider what it will be like to play against.

In public games they are already a kill stealing menace they should really fix that, explain to me why the person who does 99% damage to someone only gets the assist when a F*&k tard sniper will pew pew his last 10 hp and get the kill credit ?

Clearly, these votes do not make up the majority of the final decision.
Game changes are derived from:
  • Server metrics
  • Player feedback
  • Internal testing

This is simply to help out the dev in question view quantified feedback from the forums.
Just something I do as a CA to help them out on my own behalf.

You do realise that with this change the kill stealing is going to nerfed ... More damage, less RoF -> Less spamming shots -> Less chances to steal kills. It seems you weren't thinking at all. Ignore this guy people, please move on.

rate of fire nerf LONG overdue, this would be a great great thing, aswell as zooming out on change

low falloff is silly with HAPPY FLAG and the map design

high damage is ok but 700 seems to high
