My performance sucks now compared to what it was like during closed beta. During beta I got fps maxed(is it 90?) nearly all the time. Today I am lucky if I reach 65 fps. I also used Very High settings during beta and Medium now. i7 930@3ghz and Geforce GTX 560. I am not experiencing issues in other games.

Well, I made some progress with my setup. My current mobo/cpu are crappy replacements for the ones I blew up about 2 years ago, some micro atx hardware I ripped from a barebones system.

Specs:
Asus P5GC-MX/1333
Intel C2D E7300 (2.66 GHz)
4GB DDR2-800 (PC6400)
AMD 5770 Hawk (1 GB)

Never had much problem with this until T:A, so I never bothered tweaking the system. Upon recent inspection, I found that under stock settings the system was underclocking my ram to 266 MHz when it should be at 400. Then I stepped up my FSB to 320x10 for 3.2 GHz, and the system further underclocked the ram to 240 MHz to maintain a functional fsb/ram ratio (4:3).

So I switched over to manual bios settings and put fsb at 400x8, and set the ram to the proper type. This gave me the desired 3.22 GHz cpu and 400 MHz ram with a 1:1 ratio. System is stable with no overvolting (stock voltage and cooler), peak temp at 63C under load (1 hour), and my fps in T:A has doubled.

Previously, I got ~30 fps on minimal with severe drops during combat, especially during large skirmishes with many players. Now I'm getting ~60 on ultra-high with very little drop during combat, even with dynamic lights/shadows on.

thats very similar to my specs....u can get ALOT more out of that cpu with stock cooling

u should be able to get to 4ghz without increasing voltages at all

My performance has not been adversely affected by any patch since Beta.

In fact it might have even gotten better, but it's hard to tell when I haven't messed with my tribes.ini in a while.

Wait, why are you still reading? It should be obvious that this signature is pointless and just here to be green.
Stop reading already! You're procrastinating too much!

Yes it has been getting progressively worse for me. Massive stutter makes the game unplayable roughly half the time now, even though I have lowered my resolution and am on minimal settings. I have a custom computer that plays all other games with no problems. I think there is a memory issue somehow, and I always get a crash exiting the game it says not enough video ram though Skyrim runs fine at high settings. Lots of people complaining in-game as well. Hope this is addressed soon. It would be nice to have the option to play the game.

I'm interested in if this would work for me.. now if only I were more computer smart.. lolz

That's not exactly doubling :p

I'll keep this post in mind and recommend it to people with good rigs having performance problems, if you don't mind.

No problem, I'm actually going to do a little more research into it and combine that with some other system performance tips to make a new thread.

Here's another odd one: in Windows 7 msconfig, under the boot tab > advanced settings, there is an option to select the number of cores to boot with. This box is greyed out by default and fixed at 1 core. This is supposed to make the system boot faster, and have no impact on application performance once the system is up. Using CPU-Z, I verified that under the default setting of single core boot, that T:A does exert load on both cores. But then I set this manually to 2 cores and got the same readings in CPU-Z, yet I seemed to get even more performance after making this change. I really have no explanation for this, and I'm not even sure that it wasn't just my mind playing tricks, but once I have some solid info I will be compiling it into a thread.
