C&H Something going on with the servers/matchmaking?

Molybdane Joined: Sat Feb 27, 2010 2:23 pm Posts: 220	C&H Something going on with the servers/matchmaking? I've played C&H almost exclusively ever since it came out. The past week however, I noticed something I'm not sure about; is it a bug or not. Whenever I play a small match of about 6v6 and it ends, instead of playing the next map with the same people, I get placed in a different map with only 2 or 3 poeple on it. As a concequence, each match starts with very small teams. While people join to make a 2v2 match a 6v6 match, 10v10 matches are out of the question. This happens mostly in the morning, so maybe it isn't a server/matchamking problem at all and more a matter of the small population being online. However if more C&H players have a similar experience, this may indicate a problem with the severs or the matchmaking process. If you are a C&H player and have noticed this, please reply in this thread, of if you have a better idea of what's going on, please enlighten me.

I am not a fan of the low choices because you tend to get an unbalanced teams of 6 v 3 and 8 v 5 which is no fun. But i rather have that then wait 20 mins for a match to start.

Are you saying I'll get a "you are queued for match" each and every time I am taken to a different map with different people to fill out a (starting) match?

Are you saying I'll get a "you are queued for match" each and every time I am taken to a different map with different people to fill out a (starting) match? no, IF the matchmaker decides to empty your serverpool and put the entire group of player toward another filled but not full server, then you are notifed by the message "you are queued for a match". so if it happens that the matchmaker forced a serverswitch for you, check you chatbox for this statusinfo. if you get switched and there is no information in chat, its likely a bug and you shoud report it. _________________ teamdefender / interupt / debuffs-lover for life rpgs?: debuff, support, healer, crowdkitter watching a video of compplayers teaches nothing, watching it 5 times will enlight, you that dodge is OP or pizza is tasting nice.

I beieve it happens when there are not enough players left, the matchmaking tries to merge servers or something like that. Not always for the best though...
