AltVanguard Joined: Thu Mar 01, 2012 7:31 pm Posts: 1	Share your custom key bindings Hello everyone, There was some key bindings that I changed in my setup during the first few days of playing T:A and I was comfortable with them so I stuck with them ever since. The most obvious was swapping Z and Y (because on a QWERTZ keyboard a key themselves are swapped). The other was swapping the spacebar with the right mouse button. (So ski with RMB, jump/jet with spacebar) I experimented with others, but the defaults usually work fine with me. I'm interested if any of you have similar custom key bindings to share, so we could discuss the possibilities here. (I guess Hi-Rez might have their own statistics on this, but other players could still benefit from the discussion.) Cheers

fac3nade Joined: Tue Dec 06, 2011 3:15 am Posts: 1145	Re: Share your custom key bindings it's in my sig =) but i recently changed rs click to pack and b to melee for precision thrust pack. it's getting to a point where i need weapon switch and aim simultaneously to keep up with my skill level, so something is going to change. the point of the game pad is convenience, so a foot peddle is out of the question. maybe a 360 controller mod with a,b,x,y under the right side so i can use my extra fingers maybe a script that fires, switches, fires... shhh btw, here's the reason i use a gamepad: after working all day on my pc, i crack my fingers and pick up my guitar only to find a sudden sting in my wrists, so i put it back down. after playing games all day with my game pad, i crack my fingers, pick up my guitar, and proceed to shred. freakin' metal guitar work is more ergonomic than pc gaming. =p _________________

Share your custom key bindings

Hello everyone,

There was some key bindings that I changed in my setup during the first few days of playing T:A and I was comfortable with them so I stuck with them ever since.

The most obvious was swapping Z and Y (because on a QWERTZ keyboard a key themselves are swapped).
The other was swapping the spacebar with the right mouse button. (So ski with RMB, jump/jet with spacebar)

1 - Primary weapon | binds mwheel to zoom
2 - 2ndary weapon | binds mwheel to startfire | HUEHUEHUE

4 - tactical
5 - orbital

Ctrl - Jump
Space - Jetpack
F - Belt

I really need to unbind my scrollup/dwn from changing weapons, my mouse wheel is too sensitive and I use 1&2 to change weapons any way. It pisses me off when I lose a fight because my finger brushed against my mouse wheel and it makes me change weapons and screws up my reload :/
It's a pity there's no flashlight. In L4D I had my mousewheel bound to flashlight and jump, for bunny hops and spamming my flashlight in peoples faces.

Ctrl: ski (least tiring key to hold for long periods of time, woulda been shift otherwise)
Space: Jump/Jet
Q: drop flag

M2: Zoom
M3: Belt
M4: Melee
M5: Interact
M6 (scroll left): Spot
M7 (scroll right): Pack

Everything else is default or not used anyway.

Home - Third Person
