Havocs were great. They were instituted because Heavies had a really hard time getting from their base to the enemy base in any kind of timely fashion and alive. T2 Classic was a different story with mortar jumping heavies able to get to the base faster than most lights. So if you wanted to do a serious blitzkrieg base attack, you used the Havoc.

None of the current T:A maps would really work with the Havoc. Distances are too short, HO's ski pretty fast and there is no complicated base designs that promote big interior battles.

More variety of vehicles would be super awesome.
+1 to bring back the troop transport
+1 to First person view in vehicles.
+1 to at least 1 zoom level on the tank.

One issue:

It's usually faster for a fatty to ski across the map to bombard the enemy stand than it is to pull a vehicle and get everybody gathered together.

Blame it for the small maps we have atm. No proper large maps of previous titles have been released, when they put in one that takes 2-4 minutes of skiing to get at enemy base along with havoc transport we might actually see;
1) cappers using bikes when returning back
2) heavies on bikes + havocs and co-ordinated offense waves instead the non-stop "one man offense hero" that current maps recommend
3) how modern tech and fancy looks have made it impossible for us to have similar sized maps and teams that we had 10 years ago (64 vs 64 in maps without boundaries against current 16 vs 16 with bounds)

Yeah it's sad, but that's the name of the game, "one man hero" fps's sell much better then those actually requiring teamwork from more then few inviduals in the team.

This would be a great addition, expecially for the Shrike. I enjoy the ability to change to third person, but I prefer flying in first person. I think the last time I flew anything in third person was in Battlefield 1942, and again.. I would toggle views to get a better idea of enemy locations while dogfighting. This is something that would increase my likelihood of using vehicles ten fold.

I did not know riding Shrikes was a possibility. This makes sense now, being that a few days ago, a friendly Shrike landed infront of me and kept typing "get on" to me. I had no clue, kept pressing "G", and finally just ski'd off confused. lol

I never play as jug, always brute, but I can see how it would still be useful for getting from pt to pt quickly.

Yeah. I've seen people riding around with 3-4 people on their Shrike. It's absolutely hilarious to watch.
