Post Fix your games performance, HiRez
I really thought that you guys want to see money.
Well, I was close to spend a bit, if I would actually be able to play the game

I have a gaming notebook with a i7 quad core with 1.7 Ghz, 4 Gig Ram and a Geforce Gts 250M with 512 mb plus 512 additional vram.
I have the latest graphic cards drivers and generally of everything the latest drivers.
I have a custom ini with even lower graphic settings than your lowest graphic option.
I play Skyrim at Ultra with 30 fps. I play hundreds and dozens of other games, graphically more pleasing than Tribes or less, every single of them running perfectly.

Your game runs on a medicore 15 fps, at lower settings than available in the options menu.
I get framerate drops every few seconds, sometimes my framerate goes down to 5 fps.
The maximum I ever reached was 30 fps, when looking into the ground, at a small map, when no enemies where around....at some of the lowest graphic settings available.

Hi-Rez, fix your game, otherwise I won't be able to play this game and therefore won't be able to spend my money on it, that's all.

You could try playing global agenda and then come back to tribes. It will feel much better. Kinda like hitting yourself on the head so you won't feel the pain from stubbing your toe but I don't know what else to tell you.

Your laptop's specs are not very good, tbh. Your processor speed is quite slow for UE3 and a GTS 250m is not that great either. I agree that T:A could still use some optimization, but I highly doubt you will get more than 20-25 fps with your current system.

All I can recommend is that you OC your processor as much as possible, but realize that this will void your warranty.

Most of the time people have software and such running in the background, poor computer management to boot.

I use a computer made in 2005 with a 3ghz pent D with a nvid 9500gt and I get 60 in arena and 30-40 in others.

I don't see why people have such issues.

Check the things you run while running the game and stop them.

OC'ing a laptop is always a bad idea.

I have a netbook asus 1225b with apu amd e-450 (1.65ghz) +integrated radeon 6320, 4gb ram on win7 x64 and have 15-20 fps too... I don't think, what my netbook may have performance equal (even near) your notebook.

Depends on the laptop and if there is a cooling pad involved. I OC mine from 2.8GHz to 3.1GHz just fine.

That's a very different message from your original statement. There are caveats, lots of them. Telling someone to OC a laptop, "as much as possible" will always be bad advice if you leave it at that... and it's still not great even if you include the caveats.

"As much as possible" implies that there are limits, but you are right, I should have put a bit more into my first post.
