most classes have the ability to pick up reasonable speed with the right weapons, 150 is doable even for heavy's using disc jumping, soilder+tech can thumper boost etc.

150 is slow for capping, but still reasonable pace if you can cover your back, or to hand tight till a faster class can trade with you. But no, I rarely play path.

And if I am on the Crossfire flag stand, the HoF just leapt down to return to the flag and there I am alone with no D and nobody announcing a run I should NOT grab it because I'm not going 100+?

Sorry. I'm grabbing it. And there's a good chance that just the leap from the stand will give me a good push home.

I llama grab all the time. I get them home on a regular basis. I don't grab if someone has called it but if they haven't I'm gonna at least TRY.

And like I said, it's not too unusual for me to make it back.

You guys and your high-speed elitism is driving me nuts.

And, just to clarify, I am a capper. I use routes. I average two caps a game. But I don't whine about "llama" grabs.

Ya know if I am at the flag stand and nobody is going for the flag, I just stay at the flag to make sure its clear because eventually there WILL be a high speed capper in bound, alternatively I will go somewhere to make the run myself at speed.

Llama grabbers need to learn something: this game is about getting the flag back to your stand, 9 times out of 10 you are going to die somewhere miles from your base and if the enemy is good and leaves the flag in the field you either hold off your flag run or you try a mid field grab, which is alot harder.

Some games I have been in see the pros clearing the flag ready for a high speed capper for a llama to waltz across the flag stand and die, but sometimes we help said llama get back to base but even then its not easy due to the ease of hitting llamas going slow.

Sometimes I wish we could shoot our own team, some of these people are such slow learners and need something to make them listen!

The ones that bug me the most are the thrust pack grabbers, walk up to flag thrust through it and away, they usually last 10 seconds....

I must add....

If I call the flag and you grab it, you're on your own buddy, I'm not helping you for you are not helping the team.

I might follow you however ready for your lame arse to drop that flag so I can get it home, but I'm not going to shoot the people shooting at you.

Being on the team with the llama grabbers is not fun, I wish they were on the opposite team so we can have a good game.

Hmmm I wonder if that is why we get so much stacking....

Which, of course, is just as bad as someone ruining "your" grab and probably even more selfish. You know, you could always make the best out of a bad situation, try to help him and fight chasers off his back and then talk to the guy after getting that flag home. Explaining him that you're announcing those flag runs and that there's a reason for high speed grabs.

A lot of people are willing to learn and willing to listen to reason. They won't if you just respond to bad teamwork with even more (and deliberately) bad teamwork or use chat exclusively to flame people for or moan about it.

That has resulted many times in the past of some childish rant that I am whining and what they are doing is the correct way to play the game, as such I don't help. Maybe getting killed a few hundred times is what is required for these slow learners.

The easiest solution I have found to this is to try and join servers with higher rank players, shame Hi Rez is dragging it's heels when it comes to ranked servers then this will become a non issue for awhile.

I'm sick of playing with noobs who have no clue how to play, I'm not spending all my time teaching them and making up for Hi Rez's lack of tutorials to teach proper game play, bring on higher ranked servers, say 25 up, by then we have separated the casual gamer from someone wanting to take this game abit more seriously!
