Why do loadout slots need to be bought?

I don't see why you need to pay XP or gold to unlock them in this game while in many other FPS games they give you loadout slots without having to work for them.

I think vehicles should first need to be unlocked as well. Its a f2p game. This is how they make money. If they dont charge for things like this then you wont have a game to play. The slots are dirt cheap anyways. You can unlock it after only a couple rounds. Or 'Like" tribes on facebook and you'll get enough free gold to unlock all the slots. _________________

Because in other F2P games additional slots are a gold only purchase Because in major FPS titles like CoD, additional slots are rewards given only after dozens of hours of gameplay Because giving us additional things to unlock for minimal experience isn't such a bad thing. I still have no idea how people can be freaking out so hard over this. I have yet to see a single valid argument that doesn't boil down to "I demand better than the 12 year olds that play game X" or "If we accept this, they'll start charging for Y" slippery slope nonsense.

Personally, i'm purely f2p so far, I havent paid a dime to hirez and i have nearly everything Unlocked and Mastered. I do plan to buy some skins eventually, but all my weapon/gameplay items will be unlocked manually with XP. I appreciate all the unlockables, and having items held out of reach. It gives you something to work for, and look forward to. _________________

In other games, loadout slots are free. I don't see why you need to pay XP or gold to unlock them in this game while in many other FPS games they give you loadout slots without having to work for them.
