 Automatic weapon balance?

A) I like them as they are--leave them alone. 13%  13%  [ 96 ]
B) They're not bad--they need minor adjustment. 28%  28%  [ 201 ]
C) They're really messed up--they need major adjustment. 45%  45%  [ 328 ]

...... I'm really not sure if they need tweaking or if I'm just sour grapeing about being mowed down by a select handful of players that pulse their shields making them effectively invulnerable and aim like bots.

Personally I think the SMGs need some spread to the fire or some kickback (overheating?), at present they fire in a perfect line of bullets. They would still be useful at close-med range but there would be some notable accuracy falloffs and no more long range scalpel action.

Its also sad that they are so ping dependent 20-40ping being the window for total SMG pwnage. Not saying you can't wtfpwn with an SMG above that but a lower ping puts you at a direct advantage.

HiRez really hates to make balance changes it seems.... they consider anything less than 99% of people demanding a specific change insignificant.

Can't blame them, those 99% have terrible suggestions to begin with, if any at all.
But good thing we have a poll on something a 200 page thread totally didn't come up with, was too lazy to read that one anyway.

In its current state those automatics make the game, have them nerfed and the whole metagame is screwed up, just because it takes even less effort to spam the flagstand from afar and faceroll it afterwards with high speed.

Although the Falcon needs to be looked at, I give you that one. (B for me btw.)

I guess since nothings been done about em, nothings wrong with em. Just like the physics and wind resistance and all that.

I found this thing with realistic physics and awesome visuals, its called the universe, and its pretty cool. I'm gonna take my tea, and my telescope, sit outside and look at parts of it. I bet there are exoplanets out there with varying gravity, winds, and 100% inheritance.

I really want to see my personal weapon stats. At least if I can see that numerically they are ahead of the curve, I won't feel so inclined to constantly argue with posts like the one above.

I haven't used the MKD since the megapatch, I used the Thumper for like 3 maps just to try it and motion sensors out, and I occasionally use the SF just for fun, but typically lean AR/TDX due to how gimped the Eagle is in comparison. I've even recently started using the Rhino again to see how it fares vs the Jackal, and try this LoF thing I read about in a thread. I'm also an avid CG buff, and I tell you what, this seems to be the major difference in whether or not I top the scoreboard. If I'm using an auto I'm proficient with, it's easy money. I'm not as good with the AR, but if I'm using the Rhino, TCN4, CG, or the X1, I'm usually leading my team. I'm also not a gen player, so if I'm getting a bonus, is the meager 200 pt flag defender, and I imagine this is also why I'm not as successful with the NJ4. I'm just not as good at being where the action is as the RDR.

I don't want to, but I use them, because they are significantly superior.

For over 3 weeks, I've used nothing but autos, and they're OP like crazy.
