Just because it only benefits them in some situations does not change what it is, that being an indirect buff.

What about simplifying this an easier way. Any automatic weapon (CG, AR, LAR, NJ4, TCN4, X1, Falcon etc.) deals 100% to light, 90% to medium, 80% to heavy. Any semi auto weapons deal 100% to all classes.

This would improve the eagle pistol markedly which is something that has been an issue for a while, as well as not penalizing snipers.

Yes, that's been proposed many times and I agree it would be a good solution.

This thread is just my take on a more elegant implementation of that simple idea, I'd be happy if either the simple solution or the Armour Piercing stat were implemented in some way; both address the same issue.

I like it, though the changes might have to be smaller for a start, I'd love to see (just a slight) shift in the game towards making heavies more practical and an actual threat.
