i dont know if this is overpowered.
the rate of fire with superfast bullets is realy strong, but i dnot know if it enough to take out heavy explosive classes who needs to hit you only one time.
even pathfinders with the spinfusor can onehit sentinals.

No but you can easily follow up with the shotgun/lar.

It's not like I'm reading too far between the lines or anything here. If you didn't want to sound pretentious as f***, you could've done a whole hell of a lot better.

The sent has some of the best equipment available to it in comparison to any other class in the game. To ignore that would be silly.

Nobody is "ignoring" things, you're simply wrong. You apparently have no clue what the actual weapon statistics are, despite them being discussed--at length--in this thread.

The automatic weapons held by at least 6/8ths of the other classes are superior by all objective measures, with the only exceptions being the Soldier's Assault Rifle (which is arguably tied) and the Brute, which simply doesn't have that weapon-type.

You don't have to read the whole thing. It's in sections so it's not hard to find what you're looking for nor is it long. After all it's just advice. You can do whatever the f*** you want to do.

And it wasn't a generic statement as everything covered what makes the class good.

Maybe you should check your ego at the door because it wasn't belittling. The first rude thing I said was that you sound dumb by calling me pretentious.

/endargument. Done derailing the thread.

linking the entire Art Of War .pdf as some sort of proof of your argument is pretty d*** pretentious. There is only a tiny fraction that can even be applied to games, and you could get the same or better advice from a huge number of sources ranging from philosophy to chess strategies. Or do you really think that quartering your armies on the western slopes of hills, or the importance of recruiting local spies, or the value of foraging in enemy territory is really of much value to an arcade shooter? You are trying (and failing) to dismiss arguments because you've read ancient chinese war philosophy that has precious little applicability to T:A AND think that no one else has read it. Textbook pretentious behavior.

I don't think people understand that the sniper is already hurting you from the midfield, They sit in the perfect vantage points to defend from, a sentinel on top of a hill is crazy hard to even approach let alone get into dueling range with.
so perhaps you should try coming at them from the flank. If you charge right at a sentinel who has spotted you, you are probably going to die.

Or maybe he's trying to apply the Art of War to a forum debate, and failing: It's all well and good for military forces to be formless and invisible to the enemy... but when you are supposedly convincing people with written arguments, having a formless and invisible point works against you.

You're extrenely subjective experience really holds no water. I've addressed every point you just repeated in detail, and refuted the ones that are flat out false. You obviously suck at dueling as th SEN and think he needs that crutch. I'm done quoting myself.

I wasn't trying to "prove a point with it." If you apply things from the art of war you're going to obviously do better in game.

Quit circlejerking.

And saying I have no idea what i'm talking about is s*** as well.

Just because automatics are held by most of the classes doesn't mean they belong on them either.

So, Mr. Knowitall. What am I wrong about? Please explain it to me in detail because I obviously don't know what i'm talking about.

Aranha, you don't seem to get the picture. You're either playing against people who aren't that well off with the class or just delusional.

Machine gun weapons are pretty loathed to begin with because they are strong. So when you give a class long range capabilities and good close range capabilities, aka the sent. The class becomes overpowered as a whole. It doesn't need a automatic to perform well.

That's why the falcon is overpowered.

And the PTH is a scout yet is a one of the best combatants ingame. The Sniper isnt efficient CQB and this isnt TF2!

I play daily with and against some really good snipers yet they are at a disadvantage!

Oh i get the picture very well mate and still the Falcon isnt gamebreaking UNLESS you are either stupid enough to chase a Sentinel or Come right at him.

Even with the Falcon the Sentinel is crap CQB and if you get outplayed its becose he was smarter or outplayed you.

This thread is quite laughable how people cry about something like this.¨

Essentially the Falcon is super efficient vs bad players and wont help you much against good players as they will slap you silly!

Welcome to casualville can i streamline or make your game more casual?

As i main Sen and do very well with him i still use the Nova Blaster from time to time and honestly the Nova kicks more ass when im in the zone to actually aim with it.

Yet we share difrent opinions! My opinion is that im very aware of the Sen's capability thus have no issues hunting down Sen's and i dont play PTH at all either.

Im not a bad duelist at all mate. Yet vs good ol tribes players i often get killed frequently due to them outplaying me and thats something to accept and respect.

Falcon is a lower tier issue in my opinion.

Do you mean where I told you that under every objective measure the Falcon is a bottom-tier automatic? Because I can't tell you what's wrong with your Art-of-War namedropping because you didn't actually make a cohesive point involving it in the first place.
