I've been in IRC for a few days, both quakenet and tribalwar. IRC name is 'mendax'. My ingame Tribes name is pixeL (add me if you want, I'd love to meet more people in the community. c0m4dor I'm pretty sure I've played with you before actually) Anyway, this might seem like blasphemy to some people, but I'm wondering if the Tribalwar server is actually whats best for the growth of the Tribes community? Granted, it's great for people 'In the know' about Tribes already, but I feel like it's pretty exclusive to Tribers only. Quakenet on the otherhand is great for Tribes because it has a large presence of other FPS games, mostly orangebox related, COD, and Battlefield. For the North American people, I'd think Gamesurge would be the better option at getting more people to notice the game. Gamesurge might have died down since it's heyday in cs1.6 and CSS popularity, but it's still bigger than the Tribalwar server and there's a good possibility it will explode in popularity again with the release of Cs:GO. Just as a reminder! - Anyone can get a free, permanent channel on either the NA/EU Mumble for their team/group/community/party/mom/etc by just asking one of the admins for it. - You get localised full admin rights for your channel so you can create sub channels, change rights, add other admins, etc - There are public channels where people group up to have fun on pubs or just make sad face when shad smacks them with shrike, AGAIN!!!! and then realise he's on mumble with us - The mix/pug's for whitelisted players are played on these mumble servers too which makes it easier to just stay in 1 place. - When private/custom servers come out we'll start making channels specific to the pub you're playing on to act as ingame VOIP for any pub server wanting to link with us. Just to give an idea of how this looks I made a screenshot this morning. This is working out great for me!
I have my Granddaughter and son in law, both participating in T:A, very nice.
It has definitely added to the family experience.

Just as a reminder!
