personally i would prefer a it having just a tiny splash radius, so that you have at least a small margin for error (but still very small), in exchange for a massive direct hit bonus. i also think that spinfusors in general should have a faster projectile speed, but that is for a different discussion.

as for the artistics i could imagine some kind of gold/orange stuff with some black lines, like there was these black speedlines (if thats what they are called) only that they are kinda like neon tubes and glow? or like black glass where you can see the glow from the disc through them, coloured black or something? (also it would be nice if hirez added "paintjobs" to the weapons) the disc could be coloured orange, but a sorta(spyro)purple would be pretty cool too, yeah when i think about it jeez it would be gorgeus as in, i would buy and use such a weapon for shear aesthetics. :)
and if it was a very good weapon... *TRIBESGASM*

I have also thought of a spinfuzor for chasers looking for longer and longer midairs.

How about a spinfuzor which increased direct damage over the duration it is traveling. For instance, if it is flying for 2 seconds, it adds 2x the amount of base damage to its initial amount.

Ex.

t = time
x = base damage of spinfuzor

x + x(t)

If the base damage is 350, and the disc is in the air for 3 seconds

350 + 350(3) = 1400 damage

If the disc hits the ground, the effect is negated, and simply does 350 base damage.

If the spinfuzor explodes in the air when it reaches its max duration, it should only do amplified damage to people who are not on the ground.

This amplification only applies toward people, deployables or base assets should only receive base damage.

Obviously, the damage scales up quickly in relation to the target's health, but long midairs are hard to come by. I feel a weapon like this would change the gameplay more so by tempting the auto and hitscan users to use this weapon instead. Then Tribes Ascend would be more like Tribes.

However, I am also for the Honorfusor. I would love to have a better and harder hitting spinfuzor to use than the dueling spinfuzor. I hate it when I midair someone from a long distance, and they don't die. I agree when increasing the base damage f the Honorfusor, it needs to be nerfed in radius.

I would consider a spinfusor that can one or two shot a heavy class to be over powered.

It's good - but it should be less effective against turrets and radar - the shield fromt he new patch will help. Considering it's a spin for chasing - maybe a buff to the hitbox would help- so it would have a hitbox at least as big as autos or even the falcon hitbox?

I think this would be a very good addition. I hate to ground pound and this would finally give me a good reason not to do so.

Seriously, if you are standing still long enough for a fusor disc, with virtually no splash damage, to hit you, then you aren't doing a very good job now are you? If you are aware of your surroundings you should be able see it coming from a mile away.

The Disc has a set time for distance to damage. so on To a Given amount of damage.. Since 6 seconds is the Max flight time of a disc perhaps

And that makes it pointless.

How many times do I need to write the exact same thing? Ruleset for this so called honorfusor/chaserfusor is meh, it's so situational that you're gimping yourself with it, balancing it by giving it a strong boost in long shots is making it worthles in 95% situations - thus not worth adding, balancing it with slight boost makes it redundant - thus not worth adding.
