I think my game is bugged or something. As soon as they hit a hard surface they stop in mid-air and stay there as they detonate. It's really weird.

Is that intentional?

I could be wrong, but I think it's an implementation issue to prevent the grenade from sliding down slopes to become a rolling ball of death.

This is how they're coded to work unfortunately. Gotta try to make sure it's only hitting the floor, lest you end up with a simple light show.

An annoying bug in their detonation is when the fractal frequently fails to levitate itself upwards after being thrown on the floor, so it pretends to be a landmine and half the blasts are ineffectual.

Wait, why are you still reading? It should be obvious that this signature is pointless and just here to be green.
Stop reading already! You're procrastinating too much!

One on the ground, one in the air - death by choice. Most fract spam is easily avoided by flying up; if there's a frac up there as well, they are as good as dead.

Speak for yourself, i've seen ones that was just as effective as a regular one, except being, for the most part, invisible.

Then there's a visual bug that comes out of some gen rooms where the fractals have a light show that goes outside the gen room and through the entire map. Doesn't affect the whole map of course but god d*** it gets scary when I see a fractal beam of light shoot past me, but I'm no where near the actual explosion.

Since CLOSED Beta that fractals always acted this way, so you can have area denial in mid-air.

I've been killed by my own, or others, fractal nads through walls from time to time.
