How are people still misinterpeting 'NO MORE NEW VIP PLAYERS' as 'NO MORE VIP PLAYER STATUS FOR ANYONE'

Servers up, lance range is pathetic, not more than 3 meters, totally not worth 37500 credits (per lance, per class). It's a secondary slot.

Edit: It would be much more fun if it were a belt item, also the range should be 50-100% longer

I think it should be made under 20 000. Or make expensive but for all classes.

you get it for ALL classes with ONE purchase ;)

what does everyone think about the shock lance? i think it's pretty good for infiltrators without backstab and close combat and it doesn't take ammo but it's really hard to use, mostly because of the range. when i first heard about it i was hoping that it would push people out of the way, specifically a HoF. the 1400 from the back is pretty good but the 700 from the front is pretty meh, especially given how long it takes to charge. i think it'd be a lot more useful if it did damage based upon how fast you were going or could be held for longer to use all available energy to deal more damage, like the phase rifles.

i think the damage would have to be capped at about 2k, to prevent a pathfinder from invalidating the HoF. knockback would also have to be either limited or require much more skill than point and click to use, for the same reason.

double the range atleast, reduce front dmg to 500 and backlance to 890, reduce the 3s recharge to 1.5sec, and make it a belt item

as its now, its fun but useless

I mocked the delay over new content, but at least they are testing this stuff before putting it out (and having to nerf the crap out of everything to pacify the whiners).

The old sales model was a PITA.

Since this patch came out my binds have been reset; thankfully I've been keeping a backup TribesInput.ini for awhile. However, after attempting to restore my binds multiple times, I've realized that the location of "C:\My Documents\My Games\Tribes Ascend\TribesGame\Config" is not where the current, up-to-date .ini file of binds are kept. I recognize that only some files are kept up to date in that folder with the game (Checking "Date modified" confirms this). I would like to know where the new location of the up-to-date TribesInput.ini file is so I can easily restore my binds. If anyone has any ideas or tips on finding the location for the up-to-date file, you are more than welcome to state them. :)
