@ VOldis, no biggy
@ JayTac - I don't think so.

Look I just wanted to voice a couple words I know I'm not alone in, cause it should be pointed out that despite some of the issues like that COMPLETELY UNPRECEDENTED FIRST TIME EVER WITNESSED AUTOCANNON FLUKES (check the livestream if you don't know) this tourney being organized was a great feat and long time overdue for GA. It's been great seeing a wide community of players giving a crap about competition in this game again, and it's been great having the game host fights that matter enough to regularly raise the heartrate a couple beats. All the other team captains that did real work constantly showed to battle with their actives, all bawsses - it's the defining feature of a professional player to show up and WORK to compete, which's really all the top teams did. This made every fight exciting intense, every pick, xheal, sniper shot and grenade count, and that's the type of gameplay that GA ought to showcase.

@ My team- I hate you all and you're all terrible, but thanks for reliably participating . . . I guess. Let's also never forget to lol @ how we started

Gaieios also especially deserves notice for not only being a solid captain and an a****** with that forcewall, but for also being a dignified, interesting caster and one hell of a sport. Everyone should know it takes an insane person to WANT to captain as you'll get to make some tough, displeasing calls, but IMO he couldn't have been more professional and decent throughout the entire thing. As everyone's aware, talented mature gamers with a brain are the vast majority, so it's just great to come across players like this guy.

Finally, Turnips, keep your head up and do this again. A tourney of this caliber in GA was so unprecedented and of course a couple new things required work-arounds, and yet despite all, this tournament held some amazing plays. I know from my steam and in-game - if you look at older players who have been coming back and logging back in-game even today, talk to them, you'll find it's this tourney and the prospect of future ones that's rekindled their interest. There's not a single other player who claim succesfully doing something like that.

Cyrre, you forgot to thank Unfoldedsoup for telling us to run 2 PvE tanks, 2 double regen medics, a nanite medic, a venom bomb, advising us to check out maps before we play them to see what turret we were going to use, checking out teams' prior match stats to see what offhands they were running and finding weak links, and informing us of some "focus fire" concept.

We really all should just declare soup the winner of the tourney.

Thank yourselves for listening.
As usual, my suggestions for things like nanites and regen were met with resistance. Why anyone would ever stop running nanites is beyond me.

Also, voksen won that last defense match on breach for them due to beacon running. I kept calling for him to go down to no avail. Kill someone and they come back 5 seconds later, who cares?

The tournament was definitely a lot of fun and for the most part the teams came out fairly even which made the matches great to watch and play in. I hope things continue on the ava side with a keeper style draft format that I've brought up before.

As far as the professionalism in this tournament goes, I have mixed feelings about that. Could have been better. No fault to Turnips though, he did a great job with everything. My beef is questioning someone's legitimacy during a live stream, for everyone to hear and make the same false assumptions with no basis isn't professional. Then to praise someone who can move faster than everyone else seems a bit hypocritical to me. But, it's fine - still a great tournament overall and I hope I can get in the next one as well.

I was being sarcastic because soup has been telling everyone he made our comp up. Yea, the nanites were huge though. I think a few teams attempted to run them but none really ran them like ace.

Also, I don't know who voksen is but Luxious was pretty pro for us.

Thoughts are falling out of my brain instead of developing and being presented. I really don't care much atm. So yeah. That luxious guy...

Our Snorlax arena team worked out all these kinks over a year ago and having to try and present/teach them over again is a pain. I don't just spout off ideas that I don't know anything about. I'd have thought people would figure this out by now. /sigh

The impression the community gave to us is that our efforts were all one big joke. I know it's the internet, but there was some serious extended tunnel-vision and douchebaggery going on.
Like I said, Care-o-meter is pretty low right now. Just waiting to see what happens. I am not set on some mystical goal of any amount of tournaments, winnings, ... just saying whatever comes to mind and watching the sparks fly. Overall I feel under-appreciated and am quite tired of taking the time to figure everything out and express it very clearly, only to be ignored or taken lightly.

so yeah we had some close games. Good turn out of returned 'pros'. Still quite a mess. With all the messy rules and spectator problems I'm surprised Cash Prize was offered for this first run. Makes it hard to really give a truly fair fight. Should have come later IMO, or maybe there's more, larger ones to come. Not anytime soon though.

Yes. I talk a lot. But at least it's not a jumbled mess of idiocy, right? =-\
