Since you're obviously calling me out without actually saying my name (considering you quoted something gaieios said about me during the tourney which anyone can rewatch), here's what I'm going to do for you, I'm going to stop playing GA until I get this problem fixed (I'll log on to test whether it's fixed or not and that will be all). I have told everyone I know about this issue in hopes to get some suggestions on how to fix this problem. I'm sick to death of people questioning my integrity regardless of it being on the internet in a video game.

I've been trying to fix this problem for about 5-6 months but I have no experience or knowledge of networking or anything computer related, so I really don't know what to do and have been asking for help. I'm getting the same problem in APB: Reloaded and in The Old Republic. I can't play TF2 because everyone stutters for me which makes shooting extremely difficult. Every 4-5 steps I take in BF3 (a game I got for Christmas) I run in place for about 1-2 seconds which makes the game near unplayable.

I've sent in 3 tickets related to the issue and e-mailed HiRezAustin directly and tried to work through the problem.
I've completely reinstalled GA, deleting all HiRez files from my computer and then reinstalling.
I've bought a new $63 Motorola SURFBOARD sb6121 modem.
I've changed routers to other routers I had lying around the house, 4 in total.
I've had a live-chat with a Comcast CSR which didn't reveal much except their stupidity.

I started having issues around April-May after solving an issue that had me BSOD every 1-2 minutes of entering a merc match (What solved it was changing a setting in my BIOS from "Turbo" to "Sports"). I sent in a ticket which said:

05/02/2011 03:42 PM
"I and I know of one other person have an issue with devices. I'll press the key binding for a device, it'll highlight the device, but the device will not go off and I'll have to press it repeatedly sometimes up to 6 times before it goes off which takes about 5-10 seconds. As you can imagine it makes the game really hard to play (Trying to get a clutch heal on a teammate but the ability doesn't go off and he dies). Sometimes I'll even be able to use the ability (i.e. Bionics) and it WILL go off but I'll still have use of the ability and I can either choose to have Bionics up for 2 full durations or have double Bionics and have twice the bonuses from the ability (55% speed + 55% speed + 50% power return + 50% power return + higher jump). However the bonuses are outweighed by the burden and it's making the game much harder to play."

The final response after sending in a tracert was from HiRezRemy which said:

05/22/2011 07:18 PM
"Hey Jon,

It looks like your connection is getting held up for a while as soon as it leaves the router. You will need to contact your ISP regarding that part of the connection and see if they can do anything to increase the speed, as this is likely the source of the error in-game that you've been seeing.

Thanks,
Remy"

That is when I did a live-chat with a Comcast CSR. I then sent in 2 tickets after I discovered that I was going faster than people. The first one was closed, that ticket was made on: 09/24/2011 08:57 PM

I made another ticket on: 10/18/2011 03:43 AM

I included these videos in said ticket:

http://youtu.be/sc0HtkX7Nyo (Vikhr's perspective)
http://www.wegame.com/watch/ga-bug/ (SiiZ/my perspective)

The last response I got was:

10/23/2011 06:32 PM
"Hello Jon,

I have forwarded your information on to the appropriate contact for further investigation.

Your reference number for this ticket is [******-******].

Sincerely,
HirezAustin
Hi-Rez Support Staff"

(Props to HiRezAustin for speedy responses and helping me twice with this problem)

I think I've more than done my part trying to fix this, but will continue to try other options. I bought a brand new router just in case that might help but have yet to set it up and won't until Friday at 12:50 because I have classes. I only entered the tourney because turnips kept asking me to sign up. This is the last time I'm going to address anyone who wants to call me a speed hacker or even insinuate it. In the meantime, I'll stop playing Global Agenda until I can fix this problem to acquiesce your complaints and other people's complaints. To quote Danny McBride in Eastbound & Down, "...Kiss my a** and suck my d***! EVERYONE!".

Ouch, that is such a big problem... Look I know I might sound insensitive or unknowing of the problem entirely, but a FULL system reinstall and/or change of your ISP should probably solve your issues. I mean, if it is indeed your internet, you are likely to be facing the same issues even if you get a friends laptop or another computer... If they do not occur, then it is definitely something really wrong on your machine... Anyway I do not know all the details but..come on..5-6 months??? The f... is taking so long.

School, not knowing what to do to fix it (having to ask around), and not wanting to get back from working on homework and school just to work some more. I can't change ISP's only one here is Comcast. I have to download Windows 7 x64 and then burn into onto a disk which I don't know how to do or know if I even have the proper tools to do it. I have class in 50 minutes, g2g.

EDIT: Back from class.

To be honest I didn't work on it dilligently, when I'm out of class and finally have some time to myself I just want to sit back and play some video games. I hope it's a problem with my ISP but the fact that this problem appeared after fixing a problem which had windows crashing about 8 times a day for a month straight makes me wonder if it isn't something wrong with my computer. It's not packet loss, although I orginally thought that maybe it could be and that the F8 statistics in GA were just wrong. My ping did raise from around a 65-70 average when I first started playing to an 88-95 average although when I got the new modem my ping improved to about an 75-85 average.

The thing I'm curious about is why HiRezRemy said that my connection was being delayed as soon as it left my router but then much more recently HiRezAustin said that he couldn't find a problem with my connection. I think what I'm going to try is installing Steam on another computer (not a gaming computer though it has an okay video card) and downloading Global Agenda and trying it there and either ruling out or ruling in my gaming computer being the issue. I really hope that it's my ISP and that they can fix whatever the issue is.

Seriously if anyone has any suggestions or CONSTRUCTIVE advice send me a PM, someone already did and any help is appreciated.

Post Re: $900 6v6 Draft Tourney
I just finished up moving over the weekend, it has been pretty busy. I'd like to give some thanks to all the captains, defiantly made this a smooth process throughout the regular season. A special thanks to gaieios, for doing a fantastic job commentating and live streaming, Unfoldedsoup for being our Head Referee, and HiRez for contributing and being a part of the tournament.

The tournament did not end the way anyone wanted it to, but I'll ensure the community that in future events it will go 100% smoothly up till the end.

Please stay tuned into AgendaTourney.com for future events that are already being scheduled!

Thanks everyone

SiiZ faces in a lot more problems than the actual benefit, as he has stated in the above. Moving a little faster isn't game changing and I'm sure hes not the only one with the issue.

Bottom line, SiiZ's exceptional medic skills has nothing to do with his connection, if anything it makes him a worse medic.

Thanks for clarifying and I respect that. I'll take back the insults and apologize for them. But, to be honest it's still an edge, unintended or not.. If you take another medic of equal skill, you're going to be the harder one to track due to the speed. Don't do anything for me though, my point wasn't even to call you out really. I don't have anything against you. Moreso calling out those who cryhacks on one hand and support it on the other. Everyone bitches about aimbots, but there's been very few agencies who have rejected blatant cheats.

I'll leave it at that as not to derail the thread.
