Post Global Agenda Hot Fix - 6/15/2010
A server patch to Global Agenda will be applied during the morning of June 15, followed by a server restart.

This post will be updated when the patch is completed.

The patch is expected to address the following issues:
  • AvA matches should properly launch from a European server if the defending Agency has selected Europe as their preferred region on the Agency Management screen.
  • Eliminates a client crash condition
  • Eliminates a condition in which some game instances crash prior to awarding all players tokens and loot.
  • A potential solution to the "Cannot Connect to Server" issues experienced by some users on high latency networks. Initially, this fix will require a special command line setting, to be published, to activate. Once the fix has been confirmed to work for affected users and to have no adverse impact, the change will be made broadly available. Watch tomorrow morning for a post on how to help us test this functionality.

What is the point? We will never be able to take the hexes in the first place, because of the massive lag when attacking NA defended hexes.

But I guess this is fair game for you NA devs?

Give us seperate regions, before you loose EU completely.

Massive lag = 165 ms for me. Big deal. Eastern Europe players will get worse lag, of course.

It's not like it's IMPOSSIBLE to own a few hexes. A handicap, yes, but don't pretend the sky is falling when it's the very same lag that we have to deal with every day on Mercenary PvP.

We need a UK-based agency to take hexes first, then steal territory from them :-)

As soon as the networth tax is implemented, that huge eastern blob on Antarctica should get small enough to let euro agencies pour back in.

No I dont deal with it everday, cause i cant play on the NA merc servers with 165ms. Gave it a try last night, left after 5 min cause jetpack jaming, spike lag etc.

If it was just a handicap, our whole euro alliance would still be here, we arent. I think 1% of our members are still playing. And we are alot of players.

The last days on our Teamspeak - all I hear is APB..

Nobody is willing play under these circumstances. In fact, we cannot play even if we want to, no hex is open from 6pm to 11pm in euro time anyway. We need the old maps back, with 2 hours a day or a different map only for europe.

This really isnt the right time do nothing. A lot of people are going to have a lot of sparetime in the next few weeks and when they are bored in GA there are gone...
Do something, before 1.3 we were 10+ Players - now we are rarely 3.

Each night(mon-->thursday): 4 SF from alliance + backups(ppl) doing pvp.
Each weekend: 1 SF(90% of the time), 2 if we get lucky.

Now: 0 for 2 weeks now.
Inanse improvment...
I v read on forum that you claim 1.3 is a succes and that the playerbase increased with 70-80%.
Is this a joke ?? or do you only look at the first 24 hours of the patch ?
And on our Teamspeak all i hear is : AoC/LOL and GA is boring without AvA...

he said more people are playing the game by that percentage, not that the playerbase increased by that percentage.

Quote:
There has been a significant increase in the number of people playing the game since the patch (about 70-80% on an avg day), so if anything it's more successful and most players have been very positive about it.

read your own links.
